Hi TEDxJakarta peeps,
We have an anouncement that is very exciting for the future of our TEDx. Maybe you have heard that our TEDx events have a limit of only 100 participants. This rule comes out of the TEDx guideline from TED directly. This was unfortunate, especially after seeing the rising momentum of TEDxJakarta. We’re quite tired of turning people down.
Well, just before the new year, we talked about this with the TED’s TEDx coordinator through the magic of Skype. She said that it’s the one rule she really can’t let go of. But since the limit can be broken under the condition that one of the organizers have experienced TED, she said that what she could do is give a free entrance ticket to one of the TED events. And that TED event is TEDActive www.ted.com/tedactive.
And so, one of us will be going to Palm Springs this February, blog and tweet the hell out of that event, come home and make bigger and better TEDx events (as mentioned in our 2010 resolution tweet).
