Finally, after all the waiting and inquiries by our members, here are TEDxJakarta’s three upcoming events for this month that will rock your minds.
SECOND TEDxJAKARTA EVENT
After our launching event on May 15, 2009, we are finally holding an event with local live speakers who have done awe-inspiring works. This will be held on Sunday, 26 July 2009, at Kemang Village (36 P. Antasari, Kemang) from 2 pm to 6 pm. The following are our honored speakers and performer:
Marco Kusumawijaya, urbanist
Dr. Reynaldo Zoro, lightning expert
Yoris Sebastian, creative practician
Hendro Sangkoyo, co-founder of School of Democratic Economics
Zulaikha, teenage classical musician
The event is free of charge and we will be providing free snacks and drinks. All talks will be done in Bahasa Indonesia.
TEDxJAKARTA at ICT AWARDS
As part of celebrating innovation, we will be running a TEDxJakarta video-screening session at Indonesian Information Communication and Technology Awards (INAICTA) Ceremony 2009. INAICTA is the biggest national ICT competition in Indonesia, and the Ceremony on July 28th - 29th will feature the best innovations (where else will you see junior high students making robots that can solve mazes?) along with workshops and seminars by the biggest names in Indonesian information communication and technology.
We will be showing TED videos and sharing the TEDxJakarta story at Assembly Room 3, JCC, on Wednesday, July 29th from 14.30 to 16.30. Do come and be inspired!! (visit www.inaicta.web.id)
TEDxJAKARTA at FGD EXPO
As a growing community in Jakarta/Indonesia, we are invited by Forum Grafika Digital (FGD) Expo’s committee to hold a video-screening event on Friday, 30 July 2009 from 18.00 to 20.00 at Ruang Cendrawasih 3. We will be showing TED videos with a huge screen and awesome sound system and share ideas and inspiration with Indonesia’s own creative minds and practicians. The FGD Expo itself will run from Thursday, 29 July until Sunday, 2 August, and will be featuring mind-blowing projects, businesses, and inventions, and even great inspirational speakers from Indonesia and abroad, all in the large and growing field of creative industry.
