Oh man, I’m so bad at this.
Ok, its time for another installment of the TEDActive blog post. Probably the last, but don’t worry, ill give you some very good information.
After waking up in what I thought was very cold weather, we head out to the conference room to finally experience TED. When we walked in the conference room, my idea of what a TED conference should be was shattered....

First day @TEDActive
This guy I met over the week, Alex, at the end of it he said “I’m ready. I’m ready to jump in, and do it!” I said “do what? The TEDx event you’ve been planning?” He said “No. Everything. I’m just gonna do it. Just do it!”

Breaking the 100 person limit
Hi TEDxJakarta peeps,
We have an anouncement that is very exciting for the future of our TEDx. Maybe you have heard that our TEDx events have a limit of only 100 participants. This rule comes out of the TEDx guideline from TED directly. This was unfortunate, especially after seeing the rising momentum of TEDxJakarta. We’re quite tired of turning people down.

Happy New Years from the TEDxJakarta Team!
Last year, 3 curious minds sat together at Bakoel Koffie, inspired by a website called TED, and decided to make a similiar event in Indonesia.
In the beginning of this year, the above-mentioned website, launched an initiative that would enable the TED spirit be even more celebrated around the world. It was called TEDx. in a mere week, those people took this opportunity and started TEDxJakarta.
